Green Mountain Reporters offers real-time through Bridge software.   Most of our reporters now carry netbooks with them.     The netbook is used by attorneys to receive a real-time feed from the court reporter's computer.    Each netbook operates independently from the other.    On the netbook the attorney can issue code, press the spacebar to instantly mark the transcript for later review, make a note right in the transcript, or assign keywords which will instantly highlight when they are mentioned in testimony.    During a break in the deposition, the attorxney may take the netbook into a confidential setting and review any markings/notes which were made during the testimony.    At the end of the deposition the attorney can leave with a rough copy of the transcript.   The Bridge software is free.   Once back at the office, the attorney can upload that file into Bridge and instantly retrieve all markings, notes, etc.
